The World Trade Center towers
Symbols of our financial powers
Crumbling, falling, cascading down
Concrete and debris, hitting the ground
So many families torn apart
A tragedy felt in all our hearts
If we're ever to overcome this devastation
We must pull together as a nation

I believe that a great majority of the members here at Community Lobby are Americans. I would like to offer my prayers to all of you on this most tragic of days. You may like to know that our commercial television stations (all of them) in Australia have broadcast nothing else since the first strike on the World Trade Center in New York Our thoughts are with you all. May this event in history, dissolve all petty squabbles and trivia in our lives which have been overtaken by the events of the last 16 hours or so.

The Americans stood side by side,
Tears streaming down their face.
As they watched with total disbelief,
At what had taken place..

A day of hell in firey depth,
Ten thousand maybe more..
Would never see another day,
Never walk along the shores.

We lost three hundred firefighters,
EMS and police are gone..
They're families are left with such painful grief,
A pain that's so well known.

Our cities may be in chaos..
And yes we have been bruised,
But the battle isn't over...
America will NOT be abused!

We'll pull together, one by one,
A strength like none has seen,
With determination and such pride,
Like there has always been!

Like phoenix from the ashes,
We'll rise from such diversity,
Our strength will be in numbers,
America ALWAYS free!

From This Far

Here I sit a thousand miles away
Saying a prayer heard around the world
Wishing day by day
There were more I could do to help

A Day Without Warning. (Pentagon 9/11/01)

I sit at my desk this early morning
Wondering what the day will bring,
All of a sudden without no warning
I find myself in pain, in an area of darkness.
Minutes seem like hours, alone here I lay
Where is everyone, What happened to us
Waiting, all I can do is pray.
Near me I hear a call,
I look around to see a blurred uniform
Towards him I begin to crawl.
He helps me up and starts to talk
"Thank You," I say "Thank You,
"Come on," he says "we must walk,"
As I turn behind me to find what was wrong
A tear falls from my eye and wonder
Why and say "heaven is not yet where I belong."
Looking around, this must be a nightmare
God is with me and helped us through this
For this I see so much despair.
Little by little I see familiar faces
A comfort comes to me
I feel such warm embraces.
So much we now have to do
I'm scared but it must be done.
This is what we will do for you.
My country, you were there for us to pray
We will now bring peace for you someday.

No Longer Real

Good Morning, How is your day?
I hear walking down the hall.
Little did I know the world would see
A Twin Tower fireball.
As I see people with tears in their eyes
I stand next to my family
Trying so hard not to let go and say good bye.
Why can't they hear me
I'm standing right there,
Wouldn't they be able to feel me
This is too hard to bare.
A day later, I realize I'm no longer real
Sitting in my home-staring at them
'I will love you always, " saying as I kneel,
"You're in my heart and I'll be there
I know you won't forget me, but my enemies beware.
They thought they would weaken us
But only made us stronger.
Take it day by day, this may take a little longer.
When you are lonely, just call on me
You won't see me, but feel me in your heart
Next to you is where I'll be
And never in this life I'll never part.

God Bless all the families affected in this tragedy. Our prayers and hearts
